Anesthesia and Surgery

At Stratford Animal Hospital, we provide a wide range of surgical services, from routine procedures to more complex operations. Surgeries that we offer include routine spays and neuters, growth removals, wound repairs, aural hematoma correction, enucleations, foreign body gastrotomies and enterotomies, and cystotomies. For advanced procedures, including orthopedic surgeries, we have the option to call-in a board-certified veterinary surgeon.

Patient safety is our top priority. All pets under anesthesia are closely monitored using multiparameter equipment, including EKG, capnography, heart rate, respiratory rate, and pulse oximetry, allowing us to carefully adjust anesthesia as needed.

All surgical candidates receive a preoperative consultation and pre-anesthetic bloodwork to evaluate overall health and ensure the safest possible outcome. Our goal is to provide skilled, compassionate surgical care while prioritizing your pet’s comfort and well-being.
