Recurrent Uveitis

Sometimes referred to as moon blindness, recurrent uveitis is a multi-factorial disease of the eye. It can be the result from any episode of inflammation of the interior components of the eye known as the uvea. The disease is considered recurrent uveitis when a persistent immune-mediated response develops. Implications that have been considered include bacterial, viral and parasitic pathogens.
