Dr. Clare Randt, VMD

Originally from Hong Kong and Beijing, Dr. Randt earned her DVM from the University of Pennsylvania in 2020. She completed a rotating internship at Coral Springs Animal Hospital in Florida focusing on emergency medicine and critical care, then practiced in Naples. She is especially passionate about preventive care, believing early intervention is key to lifelong health and comfort. She relocated to Connecticut with her partner Brandon and three dogs.

Dr. Bruce Schatz, DVM

A Connecticut native, Dr. Schatz earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut in 1981 and his DVM from Araneta University. He completed clinical training at Louisiana State University and interned at New Haven Central Hospital. He spent years at Shoreline Animal Emergency Clinic before becoming Director of Clinical Services at New Haven Central Hospital. In 2002, Dr. Schatz acquired Stratford Animal Hospital, which he proudly led for two decades before passing ownership to Dr. Clare Randt.

Angel has been a valued member of the Stratford Animal Hospital team since 2004. His lifelong passion for animals shines through in everything he does. He shares his home with a Shih Tzu named Trinket and loves birds.

Brandon Barulich

Practice Administrator & Co-Owner

Originally from Long Island and Boca Raton, Brandon holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Florida Atlantic University. He worked as a surgical assistant and specialty surgery/lead neurology nurse at Coral Springs Animal Hospital before transitioning to hospital management in Naples. As Practice Administrator, Brandon oversees daily operations, including scheduling, staffing, inventory, and client communication.

Erika Lopez

Receptionist

Joined in 2016 and is a graduate of Animal Behavior College with certification as a veterinary assistant. She began as a technician before transitioning to receptionist. She is a mom to son Aolonis and dog Knuckles, and enjoys spin classes and volleyball.

Jessica Alvia

Veterinary Technician

Jessica has been part of the Stratford Animal Hospital team since 2008. She holds an Associate's Degree in General Studies and is pursuing ultrasonography certification. She enjoys beach walks with her dog Baby and time with family and friends.

Jody Semons

Veterinary Assistant

Brings many years of veterinary experience to the hospital. Avid animal lover with four dogs, three cats, and two turtles at home. Enjoys jigsaw puzzles, jewelry-making, and dreams of opening an animal sanctuary.

Jonna Piccolo

Veterinary Nurse

Joined in 2016 as a veterinary nurse dedicated to making pets comfortable. Enjoys spending time with pets and exploring outdoors.
